The first thing I always ask them when they call is whether they are
actually the company itself, or an independent recruiting group.
Recruiters, or head hunters as they are commonly called now, tend to be
like used car salesmen. They will lie or twist the truth to make the
sale. Be especially careful of the US recruiters, as they tend to be a
lot worse in my experience.
