Has there been any traction on finding or creating a mailing list to 
discuss recruiters and placement agencies? As a contractor who is 
reliant on placement agencies I'm all ears!

I'm not sure I understand this.  Do you mean agencies that hire people 
on contract but really treat them as employees?  Or contractors who 
only take long-term contracts and behave as employees?
