Evolution

Hi,
I set up Evolution for my Gmail account. It receives messages, no problem,but it won't send messages. Just puts them in outbox. When I use send/receive it says sending but doesn't send. I recently switched to rogers cable internet.Could this be the problem.Keep hearing horror stories about rogers.
