Hi Daniel, I had no problems whatsoever when I upgraded (I think I
recall a message from thunderbird the first time I ran it saying that it
was going to "update" the mailbox format or something along those lines.
anyways I would say that it sounds like you're not putting the folder in
the right place....here's what I would do.
1) backup all mozilla folders, and then remove them from your home folder
2) run thunderbird and see where it creates a folder (it is .thunderbird
on my system)
3) close thunderbird and delete the .thunderbird folder it created and
replace with your backed up thunderbird folder
4) run thunderbird again and it should work ..... the warning is to not
merge the folders, you need to delete first and then copy your backup
