Another thing to add regarding memory consideration is that if you are planning
to use VirtualBox, my suggestion is to have enough memory to split between the
primary OS (Ubuntu) and VirtualBox.

I can't remember a time I went over 800 mbs of use....unless I was running
folding at home and using the computer. You can do a lot more with the system
seeing as the core will run on 256 mb of ram
Lets just say with 2GB of ram...it will take a while before you start slowing
down the system due to lack of memory
