Looks like a regular SATA drive, and Samsung is a fairly common brand...
Unless you have issues to begin with with your motherboard's SATA
controller, should be fine.
Having said that, have you researched the SMART error? May not be as
bad as it sounds.

I always find it a pity that its cheaper to get a new HDD than the
software that can fix them...
