external card readers

Raymond,

Thinking out loud,
Have you tried Windows or Mac to copy them?
Have you accidentally locked them in properties?
Is the card from a camcorder or Camera? can you play it on TV with adapters?
Sorry if I repeat any questions I'm trying to get up to speed.
Can a computer copy them even if the format is unrecognized?
Hang in there it may take a while to figure out.
What about Clonezilla or dd, Mint, Hirens Boot CD, Ping, Ghost, Nero,
Knoppix?
Ultimate boot CD, ERD commander, live CD?
Just thinking outside the box.
