Update on Slave Lake computer project

Some good news. I am now negotiating with a representative from a
local high school in Slave Lake regarding a program that will require
computers. I expect this to move ahead next week with pickup of
computers in July and August. They

For the local Edmonton crowd, it would be very helpful to have a few
volunteers to not only help with sorting, testing, upgrades and the
like, but also to help load the computers at pickup time. This could
be a nice opportunity to get together with other enthusiasts.

Hardware: Thanks to a donation from Technicare, there are roughly a
dozen Pentium III mid towers with Ubuntu 8.04 on them, plus a few
other machines. I'm a bit short on monitors and keyboards, but hope to
have an arrangement with a recycling depot to get a few peripherals
and power cords.
