Hi Doug,

You *can* install it on either, but it's generally recommended to
install a service like this on Ubuntu Server, as a window manager is
largely a waste of resources.

Currently, Eucalyptus is only supported on Jaunty (9.04) and will also
have support in future releases.

The installation can be daunting if you are new to setting up a service
like this.  What resources are you using as a guide?
