Hi all,
I've found some interesting things about this package, but i wasn't sure
where to report them or how to check whether they were fixed or not, so
i'll just braindump here.
The gkrellm package is currently not building for debian amd64 (er, as
of a couple weeks ago) and not available in Warty as a binary package.
I think this is because the source package doesn't depend on
libgtk2.0-dev, because when i installed that i could build the latest
source from the upstream website just fine. When i go:
apt-get source --compile gkrellm
it downloads everything fine, but complains that libgtop isn't found.
libgtop isn't available, and libgtop2 isn't installable. However, when
I override this dependency with
dpkg-buildpackage -b -uc -d
It compiles the binary, debug and -common .debs and installs and runs fine.
So, where could i have checked to see if the amd64 binary is available
in Hoary? How about in debian amd64? Since amd64 isn't an official
port yet, is it appropriate to submit a bug about this?
Thanks,
mike
