Ubuntu derivatives : howto ?

Yes, the first thing we removed were the lang files and we've offered
to roll a distro in any language if someone wants to provide us with
mirroring. Our download server is filled up already.

The second thing we did was stick in the boot sequence to straight
Knoppix 2.6.7. If you try to upgrade the kernel to Ubuntu 2.6.8 through
our distro it breaks the system. But pretty much everything else is
there to get the job done, which is our goal.

Thirdly, we did the biggest compression scheme we could on the rolling,
using my Opteron 3000, which dropped the distro size from around 190 to
180, which is acceptable to us. We're going to probably slim down some
more, too.
