Just to kill this thread properly. :) You need to logout and back in to
get the theme to render properly. Otherwise you get a horrible mess of
bright and unintended colors in the gradient shifts and menus (but i
don't know why you have to do this). That aside i like some of the
refinements. But i think that they have been emphasized a little to
drastically. A general tone down of the brightest colors would be
appreciated by these eyes. For example:
* active window in the workspace switcher is very bright orange
* Network Monitor Applet (netstatus-applet) is taking up too much room
and the colors seem to be inverted and ever so slightly too bright of an
orange.
* The scroll bar caps are a very nice touch i haven't seen before but i
think they and the window title bar should both be desaturated a little.
* the "wastebasket battery" is beautiful but deceiving.
In short i like the improvements but i think that the primary orange
color that everything is based on should be mellowed out a bit (and
shift the whole gamut of other colors with it).
* the "orange aura" that surrounds hovered over controls seems a little
sharp and saturated as well.
thx and best wishes, -mf
