Yes well that's sort of what I envisage it - maybe not "Getting Started"
word for word, but as a guide that leaves the more detailed discussion to
the ubuntu docs.

We can't expect the reader to read 100 pages before using their OS, but
perhaps 40 of very relevant information might be useful. Another thing we
are doing is including some background information on Ubuntu and Linux, and
also talking about the Windows alternatives in Ubuntu, as well as giving a
bit of a "rundown" on each default application.

In Chapter 10 we also very briefly mention another dozen or so "recommended
apps" so that the user doesn't have to use trial and error to find some
quality programs.
