Hello all. There is old bug and modern fix for it.

If you not native english speaker and install ubuntu some time - you of course
see picture like this:

Nice squares say what config of console is bad. I think every pride what not use
latin - for example - Czech, Greece, Russia, and many other will have this
problem.

Basically i got this problem after installing last ubuntu server (because i
don't like gnome3)

When i do alt+ctrl+f3 for go to console - i see squares. May be this is problem
has link with driver from nvidia what i install from official repositories. Not
know. I don't have idea about that.

So...i found solution, but author not me.

1st.
open /etc/default/locale
Check language.
For my example:

LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8
LANGUAGE="ru_RU:ru:en_US:en"

i think there is not problem because setup script do job good.

2st.
dpkg-reconfigure console-setup

You will see correct letters. But reboot convert it to cool old squares.

3st.
So...need include command setupcon make to run it for every reboot.

open /etc/rc.local
and make it look like

#exit 0
setupcon

reboot and use. In originally bug-fix 2st and 3st will be swapped
Also i think 1st - not need at all.

I very hope what squares problem will be good fixed and not be happen again.
Because fix one error many years - unfunny!

Squares is Ubuntu brand today, because from 7-8 version up to 12 many people of
the world see squares. Maybe need make wallpapers with squares?
