Thinking About Stepping Down

Hi Svetlana,

I agree with what Tom said, and I'd like to add a few things.

In that case, let me remind you of the value you have added to the team. ;)

Unlike most of the rest of us, your focus has been on activities aiming
to put the docs on the map and recruit new contributors. Having had
someone in the team with that focus has been of great value, and is just
as important now as it ever has been.

If you allow me to guess, I can imagine that you may have felt kind of
inadequate in the team, since you haven't digged as much in the details
as some of us. From my point of view, and please believe me now: It
doesn't matter.

Sure, some in the team indeed need to actually proofread and write
contents and make sure the docs are properly published, but a few of us
(too few) do that. At the same time it is of great value to have some in
the team who focuses on those other things, which e.g. myself is truly
bad at.

So before you finally make up your mind, I'd like to ask if you could
think of staying in that dedicated role I just tried to outline. Of
course, you should only consider it if you feel it might be fun.
Volunteer work presupposes that you are motivated.
