Well, "the plan" is just a reference to my personal thoughts. ;)

OTOH I could have asked, but for various reasons I haven't been able to
spend much time on the desktop guide this cycle.

To be perfectly honest, that plan scares me, since we (the docs team)
are short of people who are ready to contribute. Does Canonical have a
plan B?
