if one examines the short cut in the preferences of the keyboard
indicator it is possible to set up keys that help cycle through the
various keyboard layouts. This makes it very easy (much easier that
stopping to move the mouse over the keyboard layout indicator and
switch layout) On my laptop the right menu key is set to make the
input language hindi (inscript) and the left win key makes in english
(us) and its as easy as टाईपिंग this.
