newbies are better of with the distro supported openoffice.

There is anything dramatically different by switching to libreoffice.
(The fork is more of a political/philosophical one rather than technical.)

The next release in a couple of months will ship with LO anyway.

And indic support is going to be on-par with OOo, it's not like LO magically
got new contributors to improve indic support! :-)
