No offence, but if you do not know such basics, should you be
taking up such a project? Is this a paid project?

proftpd, and postfix are what you should be looking into.

What have you tried? Please provide us with details, and
specifics of any issues that you ran into. People can then
help you much more easily. A Google search is often a
very good starting point for learning a new topic, but there
is no substitute for trying things out for oneself.
