...  a few years on, we don't have edbrowse in the archive while it's
doing fine in debian.  I was wondering why, so took a trip down memory
lane - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/edbrowse/+bug/553052
ported it to xulrunner, which debian never did, then this bug dropped it
due to xulrunner, instead of reverting to the debian package.  FWIW
debian package builds fine for xenial in ppa for me.

Bug description:
  As per https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/desktop-o
  -mozilla-rapid-release-maintenance, these sources (and their
  corresponding binaries) should be removed from oneiric:

  - xulrunner-1.9.2
  - xulrunner-2.0
  - fennec
  - edbrowse
  - moz-gnome-pm
  - libgluezilla

  Just looking at the rdepends of the 2 xulrunner packages,
  For xulrunner-1.9.2:
  - moonlight-plugin-mozilla - this is an alternate recommends (firefox | abrowser | iceweasel | xulrunner-1.9.2)
  - gecko-mediaplayer - this is an alternate depends, and will still be satisfiable (iceweasel | firefox | iceape-browser | epiphany-browser | galeon | xulrunner-1.9.1 | xulrunner-1.9.2 | konqueror (>= 4:4) | opera (>= 9.50) | chromium-browser (>> 4.0))
  - mozplugger - same as gecko-mediaplayer

  For xulrunner-2.0:
  - python-gtkmozembed - this is NBS, and should go away. Currently, listen declares an alternate dependency on it (python-webkit | python-gtkmozembed) which is ok. freespeak and indiv-screenlets also depend on it. I guess I need to fix the latter 2 though.
  - mozplugger - alternate dependency (see above)
  - vlc has a build-depend on xulrunner-dev. Patch for this is already in debian git (see http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/vlc.git;a=commit;h=617a897d9ce3d73028e8147787d271f741e7b0d0 and http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/vlc.git;a=commit;h=81f4d046ea10f328ae37d5656ffc695f993462c5), and will be sync'd later.
  - moon has a build-depend on xulrunner-dev. I've got a fix for that too, but it's blocked on bug 798941. This doesn't need to block us from dropping xulrunner though (it doesn't affect installability of packages, and it's already unbuildable)
  - packagekit has an alternate build-depend on xulrunner-dev | firefox-dev, so that's ok

  libgluezilla is recommended by libmono-webbrowser0.5-cil. Note that
  this used to be a depends, but was dropped last cycle so that we could
  demote xulrunner to universe (see bug 740815)
