Yes, STR Number:04145:
If the threads are not messed up too much. A thread chaser tool might be an alternative for repair. Use the chaser to cleanup the bad threads, then a thin coating of JB WELD on a new stud, and insert that in the hole, being careful to not strip it more. Let that cure and then tomorrow install the leg and nut. One more observation. There is no such thing as cast iron aluminum It is one or the other. Likely Aluminum. ED

You know, sometimes I just enjoy contemplating the horizon. Not in a grand way, just gazing up and seeing what’s present. Today it’s a soft gray, like an old cloth pulled over the brightness. It’s not a gloomy gray, more of a gentle gray. A thoughtful gray. It makes the green foliage on the tree outside appear brighter, like they’re flaunting against the simple backdrop. They twirl a bit when the breeze passes. It’s a pleasant sight to observe for a moment. I was noticing the sounds of the home earlier. Every home has its own melody, if you pause to listen. There was a soft murmur from somewhere, perhaps a device in another room doing its task. A click occasionally.
The sound of my own breath, which is an amusing thing to observe. You don’t usually hear that, do you But when it’s quiet, you can. It’s a steady pattern, like a gentle beat keeping pace. I recall the sensation of cool grass beneath my feet. It’s a memory from long ago, from a different time. The blades are soft and somewhat moist, and they flex under your weight. It feels like the earth is greeting you in its own calm language.
It’s a good feeling, a basic feeling. It makes you want to sit right down and watch the clouds, to find shapes in them. One resembled a drowsy dog, another like a chunky boat.
They change so fast, you have to view quickly before they transform into something else entirely. There’s something about a mug of tepid water in your hands. It’s not extravagant, it’s simply warm. The warmth seeps into your fingers and calms them. You can watch the small bits of nothing swirl in the water if you hold it up to the light. It’s just water, but it feels like a minor friend on a slow day. It’s there, and it’s warm, and that’s sufficient. Sometimes I ponder about how many stories there are in the universe. Every individual you see has a whole universe inside their head, full of thoughts and emotions and memories you’ll never know. They are all wandering around with these secret worlds, passing each other, smiling or not smiling.
It’s a big thought, a wide thought. It makes the world feel very vast and very small all at once. Mostly, I just enjoy the quiet moments. The space between the big noises. The sigh at the conclusion of a long day. The sound of a page flipping in a book. The way light spills on the floor in a long yellow stripe in the afternoon. These are the things that don’t ask for anything. They just are. And that’s lovely. That’s more than enough, genuinely. It’s good to just be, occasionally.
