[NOT solved] Re: Problem with refreshing in xterm and emacs

I experienced similar problems myself; for me the programs in question
were gnome-terminal and mutt; they would be fine and then randomly
freeze up everything as soon as I started to fetch my mail. For me,
the solution was to turn off the Blur plugin in compiz, because it's
unstable in this release. That was with my nvidia card. With my
Intel-based laptop, just turning on Blur would send it into an
infinite loop of crashing. Oddly enough, KDE works flawlessly, even
with that experimental transparent version of Oxygen. I hope that's of
help to you somewhat.
