All done, but see comment below:

As mentioned before according to Zoltan this is not possible.

Unfortunately qmltestrunner does not have an option to suppress only the debug and warnings. Either you suppress everything except test failure messages, or you accept all debug output. 
I suppressed all output except failures, I think it makes everything clearer, and added a check-verbose target to go back to the old behavior if needed.
