Sounds good - some other decent books along that line:

Cathedral and the Bazaar - classic OSS literature
In the Beginning There Was the Command Line - interesting read on OS's
by Neal Stephenson who is an amazing scifi writer (snow crash,
cryptonomicon and a bunch of others) kinda dated because of the state of
linux when he wrote it, and also that he's a BeOS fan. If I remember you
can pick this up for under a buck on Amazon

Not so much a good one for strictly OSS/Linux topics but - The World is
Flat by Thomas Friedman is an amazing read. Thomas Friedman is a really
smart guy who writes for the NY Times - and the book is all about the
effects of recent technology (in particular the internet) and how its
forever changing the world and its economies. There are some lengthy
passages about open-source and linux (the apache project is a favorite
of his). Even if its not a pure Linux book, its a very enjoyable read
and you'll come away with a whole new view towards a huge variety of
subjects.

Nobody ever got stupider by reading, if anybody would be interested in a
Ubuntu-Chicago book club of sorts (This could include non fiction-
reference stuff if anybody is interested in learning technology xyz or
programming language _______) I'd be down for heading it up.

Also, some other good news - I've got comcast coming out today to hook
up cable internet at my apartment, which means at long last - the ports
I need to be on IRC will be unblocked (finally off my building's
ridiculous wireless network admin'd by some loser on a powertrip. (MAC
authenticated, only ports 80 and the std email ports are unblocked...)
Hope to see you all on there later!

-Max
