[Ubuntu Chicago] Linux on the desktop in a huge corporation!

Team, Canonical (the parent company of Ubuntu) does have end user support.
It cost a nice sum (http://www.canonical.com/support) but they do exist.
Consider it like Red Hat, but without enterprise editions. And they have
offices in Montreal (iirc) so the support would speak English...but the
point is. Canonical will provide very good support.

I see Windows as a much more unstable, insecure system that people pay for.
Doesn't make sense to me. Benefits would also include a free workstation,
much less maintenance etc.
Anyways, I'd be interested in anyone's opinions on benefits and risks. I
think the risk is running an insecure, unstable OS like Windows.
