[CoLoCo] Need help recovering data/system

That depends on the way Knoppix accesses the sata drives. I would try the sda nomenclature first.

I tried using Knoppix STD, but i'm not able to locate the hard drive. I suppose I could try another live distro....

 

While in STD, should I be labeling my HD as it was on my regular version for mounting purposes?

 

i.e. it is SATA, so should I just be doing /sda1 etc?

Hi guys!

 

I just tried updating to 7.04 using the following:

 

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

 

And, apparently, a few packages were broken. So I attempted to repair them via synaptic, no dice. 

 

When I tried to repair them, I lost graphical. I have a feeling that X was wasted.

 

I need some help recovering the data on there, if at all possible.
