This is a double edged sword, some of those commands (not all) have 
their uses.  Using DD in conjunction with Gzip (not shown on the 
website) is a great way to back up floppy images when you point to the 
block device.  I used to do this on Unix to protect images of floppy 
disks.  It works with hard drive partitions and CDs also on Unix and 
Linux.  Some of those other commands are just plain malicious like the 
Fork Bomb. 

You know its pretty sad that these people have to try to sabotage 
people's computers because they use Ubuntu instead of Windows or some 
other OS.  I'm no hysterical conspiracy theorist, but this is something 
I could easily see Steve Balmer doing.  Considering the kind of 
unethical, school yard crap I've seen him pull before I wouldn't be 
surprised at all if he was behind this.
