How can you tell, and is it possible to determine the load cycle 1.5 months
after installing the drive? My laptop was just upgraded from it's original
40gig to a 120gig drive. I did this for added space, and the ability to
dual-boot and has worked fairly well, but I'd had to damage that new drive.
Also, beyond battery life, are there any other negatives to the command to
shut this feature off? I rarely run on battery because mine doesn't give me
much time, although Ubuntu reports longer life than XP does.
