"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
William Shakespeare

This conversation is silly. Is there a different image we are trying to
portray of ourselves? Not that I have seen mentioned here

Are we so similarly named as to be confused with somebody else that we
would rather not be associated with? Again, not that I have seen
mentioned here.

Before any name change conversation can be anything but silly, we need
to identify why the current name is unacceptable. Then and only then
seek ways to rectify the situation. Maybe a name change will only be
that, a name change. In which case, why are we changing the name.

Neither Romeo, nor Juliet, had trouble with their name... they had
problems with their families. Had Romeo done as he proclaimed and
disavowed his name, would it have done any good. No, not without
separating himself from his family. Same with Juliet.

If our group merged with another group that advocated Fedora, and both
groups wanted to come up with a new name to reflect that new direction,
a name change would make sense. What is the sense of this name change?

Remember, a name means nothing. It is what you do in honor of that name
that gives it meaning. Unless there is a serious problem with the name
CoLoCo, I would leave it alone, and start putting all this effort into
making it known though out the Colorado computing community that this is
THE place to come and learn about the fantastic benefits of Ubuntu.

Just my $0.02
