I agree with Kevin. Recently, I set up some friends with Ubuntu and
began sharing with them the philosophies of open source, free
software, Linux, and Ubuntu, and one of the main elements that we kept
coming back to that brought all of these ideas together was community
-- both local community, and global community.
ColoradoLocalCommunity. CoLoCo makes sense.
I hope that I don't ruffle anyone's feathers by saying this, but if I
were to consider changing a name, I might change our domain name:
coloco.ubuntu-rocks.org. I don't know the history of the domain name,
so perhaps there is more to it than I am aware. Even though I do feel
that Ubuntu does indeed "rock", it just sounds (IMHO) unprofessional.
In the back of my head, I hear ("Hey dude, Ubuntu rocks, man!"). Is
there some sort of URL naming convention that is regulated by Ubuntu
LoCo teams, sort of like our IRC naming convention has changed to
#ubuntu-us-co? It appears as though many (but certainly not all) of
the teams are using a naming convention similar to co.ubuntu-us.org.
