[CoLoCo] Screenlets not Working?

Anyone else had this problem? I was using Pidgin yesterday, got some new
updates to CUPS and whatnot, they finished, I shut down, and when I came
back later, I booted up, but Pidgin won't start. I try to run it, the little
clock goes around, then it gives up. I looked on the Ubuntu forums and saw
some chatter about screenlets not working, but I'm not sophisticated enough
to know what those are, or how to diagnose that. Just wondering...
