I always do a clean install (I have a separate partition for /home). In my
experience if you make too many changes the update doesn't go as smooth and
I like cleaning things up anyway. My iMac install died anyway. Not sure why
but fsck says something about something being shared and it dumps to command
line and won't do anything. I think a clean install is called for. I just
hope I can use a live cd to copy files off.
