All Rochester Folks:
I spoke to the manager at Barnes & Noble @ RIT and we are able to
reserve the community room there (they do have free wireless). I have
tentatively reserved the room for Thursday December 4th. (I did not want
to commit, but she was willing to 'hold' the room). I also have the
option of making a reservation using the facilities at the Pittsford
Library; both the Fisher and Fletcher rooms are available on the 4th of
December.
I like the idea of alternating the location, but would like to get your
opinions on the matter before I move ahead. My thoughts are that it
would be great to use the B&N @ RIT location due to a nearby pub and the
proximity to the RIT campus. The Pittsford location is excellent because
of the availability of a projector and the fact that people passing by
might become interested.
I have also contacted Computers by Brad and JNCS about becoming involved
with Rochester area Ubuntu events.
Please let me know your thoughts on a Rochester meeting location... one
fixed place (which one) or rotating the location.
Thanks,
PrivateVoid (aka Chas)
