perlmagick ... apt-get install problems

I have been trying for about 2 weeks to install perlmagick on ubuntu.  
Every time I get message included below.  Is the package really broken 
(for 2 weeks or more) or am I doing something wrong?

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
perlmagick
Depends: libmagick6 (=5:6.0.2.5-libuntul)
but 5:6.0.2.5-libuntul.1 is to be installed

NOTE: the difference is the ".1" added to the end of the "to be 
installed" package name
