When I first installed Ubuntu (Warty 4.10) I didn't realize there was
a flash plugin package so I installed the Macromedia version.
If you don't mind installing it over the available package, I can
report that it's worked perfectly since the day I installed.
If there are any problems with using it over the packaged version,
perhaps someone will enlighten us. But until then I'd recommend
Macromedia's flash plugin if the other isn't working for you and flash
is important.
