gnome-cups-add crashes when installing print driver

I'm using the latest ubuntu with updates, and am having problems
trying to add a new printer with gnome-cups-manager.

I choose Add Printer, Network Printer, enter the hostname, and click
the "Install Driver" button.  The application then crashes, saying
"gnome-cups-add has quit unexpectedly".  I can reproduce this every
time.

The version of gnome-cups-manager I have installed is 0.31-0ubuntu3. 
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
