Hi,

i have given up using gnome-cups-manager, it has never worked reliably
for me (crashed quite often).

As a workaround, you can use lpadmin.
This is how i set up the queue for our color laser printer, which is
hosted on our server antsrv1 with lpd queue clj1:

# lpadmin -p clj1 -P CLP-550ps.ppd -v lpd://antsrv1/clj1 -L "Server
room" -D "Color laserprinter" -E

HTH,
	Heinrich
