iocharset problem with Mounting SMBShares in Gnome

Hi,

Since 5.04 Ubuntu locale uses UTF-8.

When accessing Windows SMB shares, I must use fstab because mounting
with Gnome does not handle a proper iocharset and filenames are not
handled properly. This lead to beying unable to access some files or
directories.

Here I have added an fstab entry for a permanently mounted share.
//HOST/Sharename /mountpoint smbfs
credentials=/etc/samba/auth.sharename.user,workgroup=WORKGROUP,fmask=777,iocharset=utf8,codepage=cp850
0

But how could I access and or temporarly mount SMB Windows shares in
Gnome with proper IOCharset handled, without ressorting to an fstab entry ?
