Any idea what this Synaptic message means?

OK, it's been several days now and the security repository is still
giving me grief with the signature file. Does anybody have any idea how
to get around this problem until it actually gets solved? It's not very
good to demonstrate Ubuntu's package maintenance scheme (which is what I
was doing, naturally, when this first reared its ugly little head) when
security-related errors show up on a repository clearly labelled
"security".

What magic wand can I wave on my end to tell synaptic/apt to find the
right signature and give it to me?
