Ah yes... nvidia-glx-enable ... never worked for me ! :o(
So I must do it by hand. I simply comment out the "DRI" driver at the
top of xorg.conf (but am unsure of what to do with the 3 DRI related
lines at the very bottom of the file, though).
But that doesn't do it (used to, though, in Hoary).
Or does nvidia-glx-enable do some more magic that I am missing, and it
would be worth trying to get it to work ?
Still, I am amazed at how smooth the effects are, despite the total lack
of H/W acceleration. The only bit that's not smooth, is when handling
video playback, of course...
