What do I do with an old laptop?

I always have use for additional computers.... :) Seriously though, my
mum has been asking me to look around for a cheap laptop these past
few months, I was going to go on ebay, but I'm a bit short of cash at
the moment. Then theres this briefcase laptop mod i've been wanting to
do for ages, or perhaps the PX16 mod I want to do where I take an
_old_ Epson PX16 [ http://www.xs4all.nl/~fjkraan/comp/px16/ ] and cram
a laptop into it. And run Ubuntu on it of course :)
