Ubuntu i386 completely installed on my P3 but don't know username so cannot login ? HELP !

Reinstall *again* then?
I don't mean to be rude to the OP, I just mean that if you get to the
end of the install without knowing what you've actually done, I think
it's best to do it again and make sure of what actually got installed.

It's possible, yes, that it's the root login, that'd explain why he
remembers the password and not the username. I haven't tried the
server install either, so I can't really tell. Maybe Mike read
"Server" as "The complete installation"? Who knows.
