Are there softmodem solutions supported in any ubuntu repository?

Gee, don't tell that to my Thinkpad X30 with an Intel DSP chip in it.
Used to use the Softlink modem drivers but now I use an ALSA modem driver.
Works like a charm. And it's all OpenSource stuff.
