Firestarter service fails to start

just execute the following:

    ~$: sudo /etc/init.d/firestarter status

you should have the following output on your terminal:

    *Firestarter started.

as you can easiliy guess this means it started and running :-)))

if you do not see anything like this you should get consern and 
investigate it further.
