That certainly sounds plausible.
But when I added a ModeLine to the Screen section X failed to start up
properly, was getting a parse error on the xorg.conf file. Turns out that
it goes in the Monitor section. Now I don't get the parse error any more
but the X is ignoring ModeLine and my attempts to configure Screen1.
Looking more closely at the Xorg.0.log I see that it is coming up in
1600x1200.
Tried reconfiguring Screen1 with the GUI tools but they don't work either.
And we still haven't a clue about why the cursor gets stuck in Screen1 and
is unable to return to Screen0 where it began.
Has anybody succeeded in getting dual head working on hardy with ati cards?
I'm beginning to suspect that may not be a configuration problem, the
drivers may be broken.
