Can one get straight to username entry at login in 9.10?

It seems to me that most replies to this post have not understood the
question.  As I understand it the OP is seeing a button labelled
'Login' that he has to click before he is able to select his user name
and password.  On my 9.10 on booting I immediately see a list of user
names to select from, not a login button.  The question is why is the
OP seeing a Login button before selecting/entering his username and
what can he do about it.

Are any others seeing a Login button that they must click first?
