There are far more people on this list who fail to trim the fat in hteir 
posts then any top posters, I also put it to you that bottom posters 
(to lenghty posts) should be frowned upon as equally as top posters, as 
that is no different to top posting, in fact top posting IMHO is more 
welcome, since you dont have to scroll down 5 pages of crap to see someone 
make a one worded reply

correct all you can do is change the reply-to and even that is not 
reliable given the followups who dont hit that mark, or, are on the more 
general list, you might issuea warning in public the thread mustend here 
now, but the problem is, it wont, your warning might be 30 posts down 
in the thread for many people, I know I've had that problem on lists I 
moderate and appreciate the delay factor.
