so my suggestion is to follow *their* advice.  I am not a member and have
therefore no access to their information, you have to study this yourself.
One advice though:  If it is and *rpm*, then you would like to use alien
to make it a *deb*.  Also be sure to use a version of collabcad that has
been tested with your version of Ubuntu (or visa versa).
