Ubuntu on Internal SATA disk

Hello All,

I have HP Pavilion DV9308nr laptop which comes with one 120GB SATA hard
drive, so some irrational reasons, I don't to mess up with Vista, although I
don't like it at all.

On the laptop there is provision for second hard drive and I want to install
Ubuntu on it. Somewhere I had read that second internal hard drive cann't be
used for booting purpose ( I don't know where I had read that ). So my
question to some Ubuntu Gurus is :  Should I go ahead and invest on
second hard drive for ubuntu ? Will it work fine ?
