Ubuntu Backup Solutions?

Hi mark,

Sbackup uses compressed tar and if backing up large Gb files it can be corrupted and all data is potentially lost (there is no option is sbackup to turn of compression) it also won't copy openfiles or databases.  I appreciate the suggestion though - thanks for taking the time.

Grsync - great for home use but not suitable for my requirements

would "grsync" or "sbackup" be of any help?
